The project-based swing shift Production Coordinators main focus is supporting The Daily Show with Trevor Noah across all digital platforms. This position supports the swing shift Associate Producer and Producer/creative lead for the series. Production Coordinators must be comfortable working collaboratively within a matrixed organization.
Candidates should have experience managing content across desktop, tablet, social, and mobile media, with an eye towards the convergence of these platforms, along with a background in news, community management, engagement and growth. The ideal candidate can conceive innovative content that lives synergistically across video, social and interactive mediums and articulate their vision and strategy to senior executives.
This position is based at the Comedy Central headquarters and will work closely with contacts at The Daily Show. He or she will also collaborate with Comedy Centrals On-Air Producers, Development, Editorial, Design, Technology, Marketing and Ad Sales. Hours are 5PM-1AM Monday-Thursday with a half day afternoon shift on Friday.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Support swing shift Associate Producer, Producer and Senior Producer on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah
Handle digital production related tasks for all Daily Show social platforms
Write editorial for posts across all Daily Show social platforms
Drive audience engagement and growth year-round
Work with Associate Producer and Producer to refine social strategy from week-to-week
Create macros and GIFs from show content on a daily basis
Support process of encoding audio and video clips for presentation online and serve as point person for flow of assets and requests to the encoding group
Retrieve and process production assets as directed by Producers
Working with Project Managers to ensure that process, workflow, documentation, and tools are upheld and/or improved to department standards
Ensuring that all rights and clearances are properly pursued and secured
Working with Research to identify and track relevant analytics
Developing ways to increase site traffic and optimize advertising revenue wherever possible
Required Qualifications & Skills:
1-3 years of digital producing experience at a major commercial media, entertainment or creative brand or interactive agency
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Experienced knowledge of Photoshop
Working knowledge and understanding of digital technologies, including HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, etc.
Experience in multiplatform content extensions and original content production
Experience developing experiences that drive engagement in social media
Intimate familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
Strong knowledge of current events, politics, internet culture and trends
Understanding of the relationships of social media and SEO
