The work involves preparing written and oral opinions on complex legal issues, reviewing proposed legislation, litigating cases in various courts and administrative settings, reviewing contracts, and providing collective bargaining and other personnel-related advice.
This is a highly rewarding position as the Chief Counsel functions as a business partner to the Executive Director and Commissioners ensuring that the commission is working in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Monday – Friday
Lunch Period: 1 HourTen years of professional legal experience and graduation from an accredited school of law; including or supplemented by three (3) years of professional supervisory experience; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants must be certified for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, currently licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, and must maintain licensure on a continuous basis during employment.
