As a PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Serving as a senior advisor and SME, providing guidance and recommendations to other senior program analysis experts, senior executives and commanders, and staff in all DoD components.
- Developing program methodologies relative to program analysis activities to include performance criteria aligned to strategic priorities.
- Conducting studies, analyzing findings, and making recommendations on the effectiveness of substantive operating programs involving missions across DOD and/or DOD components.
- Selecting and applying appropriate program evaluation and measurement techniques in determining the extent of compliance with rules and regulations issued by the agency, or in measuring and evaluating program accomplishments.
- Serving as project officer responsible for the evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of major program operations throughout an agency.
- Designing and conducting complicated reviews and studies and providing advisory services on broad, complex issues.
- Developing expert analyses describing the agency's official position, and interpreting program requirements.

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Using query logic skills to develop, organize, interpret, and analyze large datasets to develop quantitative and analytic problem solutions.
- Communicating analytic results and information to non-technical audiences.
- Making recommendations to senior leaders on human capital program improvements.
- Conducting complex studies relating to work force planning
