What youll do:

  • Develop strategy and actively manage litigation and claims portfolio worldwide from inception to conclusion, including the development and execution of effective litigation management (including discovery) and settlement strategies, budget and outside counsel management, and the negotiation and resolution of pre-litigation disputes
  • Assess and coordinate response to complex regulatory inquiries and investigations involving our industry, our product or our business around the world
  • Design, implement and maintain policies, processes, systems and training to manage litigation risks, including document preservation, case management and discovery systems
  • Build and manage a small team supporting Pinterests litigation, employment and regulatory matters
  • Proactively counsel lawyers and business people at all levels across the company to help manage risk up-front and provide legal counsel and business-oriented solutions
  • Meet with and provide reports to the board / audit committee and executive team on key litigation and regulatory matters
  • Maintain a culture with a high degree of emphasis on integrity, respect, and inclusion

What were looking for:

  • JD required, with a minimum of at least 15 years experience in general litigation, including securities, commercial, employment, investigations and regulatory matters
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in California
  • Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity
  • Strategic thinking, with a track record of delivering pragmatic solutions to novel issues
  • Agility and ability to quickly assess business challenges and make timely recommendations under pressure
  • Significant leadership and managerial experience, with ability to effectively influence senior leaders and all levels of the organization in manner congruent with company culture
  • Ability to manage cases from inception to conclusion, with outstanding communication, legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • Process-driven and results-oriented with proven ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and independently
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to build sustainable programs for scale
