Corporate Counsel II
What will you be doing:
Working under the direction of the Assistant General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel, the Corporate Counsel II is responsible for providing legal support and day-to-day contracting needs for their assigned business unit and various other transactional projects. This position serves as the primary point of contact for business clients and drafts, negotiates, reviews and approves (within specified guidelines) agreements, transactional documents, licensing agreements, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements and various other documents. Additional responsibilities may include conducting training sessions for business units on relevant legal matters, counseling business teams on regulatory compliance with an emphasis on healthcare regulations.
The person in this role works independently on moderately complex legal matters with limited direction and assumes ownership of day to day assignments and provides support on projects. This position requires work in a fast-paced environment with various business teams and senior management and providing legal guidance that is clear, actionable, and timely. This position interacts with senior management, Premiers members, regulatory agencies, suppliers of goods and services to Premiers members, business partners in various ventures and outside counsel on assigned matters
What we’re looking for:
4 or more years applicable experience
Skills & Experience:
Analytical Reasoning, Drafting Legal Documents, Organization and Time Management
Relevant Experience to include:
North Carolina bar member
Extensive knowledge of commercial contract law and corporate law
Have demonstrated ability to work independently and accurately under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail
Top 25% of class preferred
