Overview

Key Responsibilities:

 Develop processes to support business compliance needs and efficiencies, e.g., drafting policies and procedures
 Serve as subject matter expert on trade compliance issues with internal stakeholders
 Manage internal investigations as required
 Serve as team lead for external audit response
 Provide internal education and training on relevant legal issues
 Coordinate and manage outside law firms with respect to cross-border compliance
 Interface with FDA and Customs officials with respect to import-related matters, including, but not limited to, requests for information, FDA import alerts, and import detentions
 Interface with Department of Justice, Department of Commerce, and Department of Treasury (OFAC)
 Additional responsibilities may include a broad range of compliance and regulatory issues (including FCPA) as well as matters relating to document production and retention

Qualifications

Qualifications:
 Licensed, practicing attorney with minimum 5-7 years of experience at AM Law 200 firm and/or Fortune 1000 company
 Global experience in trade compliance required; experience in cosmetics, OTC products, and/or consumer products desirable
 Legal expertise with supply chain logistics, trade compliance, manufacturing and/or procurement
 Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
 Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with business clients and other legal members of the legal department
 Demonstrated ability to balance legal and business considerations, problem-solve and operate in a diverse and fast-paced environment
