Job Description In this role, you will be the lead lawyer for the companys global Device Protection line of business. Reporting to our General Counsel, you will collaborate with Device Protections leadership team, other attorneys and business clients, and provide advice and guidance related to business law, complex transactional matters, insurance regulatory law, critical commercial contracts related to the device protection and wireless industries, sales, purchasing and distribution agreements and other corporate legal matters.

 Provide commercial and legal counsel related to the sale, delivery and operation of device protection programs globally
 Assist our General Counsel and senior business leaders with contractual matters and other corporate and commercial legal services to ensure the companys global business objectives are met and risks managed appropriately
 Negotiate, draft and advise on sales, purchasing and distribution agreements, underwriting agreements, reinsurance agreements, and other commercial matters
 Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the operation of the companys business, products, markets, facilities and customers
 Interface with the Device Protection senior leadership team as well as other attorneys to address sophisticated business and legal issues related to complex transactional matters, critical commercial contracts, corporate governance and other general corporate matters
 Provide leadership and guidance with an emphasis on identifying creative solutions for a diverse range of business and legal issues
 Collaborate and work as part of a team with business leaders and other partners to provide innovative solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
 Establish rapport and a working relationship with business leaders to encourage and continue proactive use of in-house legal counsel

 10+ years of corporate legal experience at a top law firm and/or corporate legal department, as well as general corporate experience with a focus on business law, negotiation of complex commercial contracts and leading and handling sophisticated commercial transactions; mix of in-house and law firm experience is ideal
 Experience in device protection, insurance regulatory, privacy and cybersecurity matters
 Significant international work experience
 Experience in reinsurance, retail/distribution, or financial services industries and/or a start-up company is a plus
 Experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other related matters
 Substantial contract drafting and negotiation experience in international/global setting, including handling sales, purchasing and distribution agreements
 Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
 Ability to effectively juggle competing priorities and manage heavy workload without sacrificing work quality or timeliness
 Exceptional executive leadership and management skills in all aspects of a legal and business environment
 Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with clients and business leaders at all levels
 Team player who will build rapport with a diverse range of business and legal partners
 Self-starter with ability to arrive at creative solutions to complex legal issues
 Superior intellect, with the ability to combine analytical reasoning, creativity and judgment
 A strong people orientation and sensitivity to cultural diversity
 J.D. (or equivalent) from an accredited law school and a strong academic background; valid/current license to practice law Required Travel 20-30%
