Looking for a company that inspires passion, courage and imagination, where you can be part of the team shaping the future of global commerce? Want to shape how millions of people buy, sell, connect, and share around the world? If youre interested in joining a purpose driven community that is dedicated to creating an ambitious and inclusive workplace, join eBay a company you can be proud to be a part of.

eBay is where the world goes to shop, sell, and give. Whether you are buying new or used, plain or luxurious, commonplace or rare, trendy or one-of-a-kind-if it exists in the world, it probably is for sale on eBay. Our mission is to be the world’s favorite destination for discovering great value and unique selection. We give sellers the platform, solutions, and support they need to grow their businesses and thrive. We measure our success by our customers’ success.

Were looking for a focused and energetic patent attorney to join our intellectual property team. From eBays inception over two decades ago, we have seriously committed to investing in and protecting our intellectual property. Were now recruiting a member to join our cohesive group and become a custodian of our constantly evolving patent, open source and trade secret portfolio.

While varying from time-to-time, this role will, on average, entail a roughly 50-50 split between heads-down and heads-up work. For this position, teamwork is essential. We work closely to establish a team where everyone pitches in to accomplish tasks. You wont simply churn out patent applications or office actions responses, though you will be intimately involved in overseeing a strategic patenting process at every stage of the idea lifecycle to ensure strong and well-defined outcomes.

Do you have a growth mindset? A pick-up-the-broom mentality? A desire for continual development? A willingness to sacrifice for the greater good of the team? If so, we would be thrilled to hear from you.
