This opportunity is accountable for representing the company by providing legal guidance across the organization, apply strong technical expertise to continuously improve Legal principles based on best practice and industry standards, provide in-depth analysis, recommend appropriate solutions to management, and develop strategic practices to ensure that the Companys concerns, issues, risks, and liabilities are identified and resolved effectively.

Primary Responsibilities
 Resolve regulatory inquiries by conducting research and drafting legal documents to provide recommendations and support lines of business
 Lead implementation of legal strategies that identify, avoid, manage and mitigate legal, regulatory and reputational risk faced by the organization, consistent with business objectives and QBE behaviors
 Advise on moderate impact legal matters by utilizing legal expertise and strategic thinking to assess risk and recommend effective and appropriate solutions
 Collaborate with internal partners and lead multi-disciplinary teams to guide development of company policies and best practices
 Manage moderate impact legal projects by defining scope, setting milestones, delegating tasks, tracking progress and reporting project results to ensure successful and efficient implementation
 Represent company in litigation process by negotiating with external parties, organizing responses to legal communications and minimizing damage to protect organizational interests and ensure realization of business objectives
 Lead employees to meet the organization’s expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment

Required Education
Doctoral Degree

Required Experience
7 years relevant experience

Required Licenses/Certifications
Admitted to the Bar

Infrequent (approximately 1-4 trips annually)

Physical Demands
General office jobs: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is not substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate basic office equipment including telephone, headset and computer. Incumbent must be able to lift basic office equipment up to 20 lbs.
