Overview

Job Description and Requirements Responsibilities

  • Lead the negotiations of a wide range of complex agreements from structure to complete execution (draft, review, and negotiate standard and non-standard agreements)
  • Work collaboratively with the company Sales Team, Business Units, and other internal teams
  • Advise senior management on complex collaboration agreements with third party partners
  • Advise business clients and finance on business and legal risks, company policies and procedures
  • Build strong and transparent relationships with internal clients
  • Assist with marketing matters and product development processes

Education/Work Experience

  • JD from an accredited law school (local candidates preferred)
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience either at a top-tier law firm or at a technology company
  • Member of the California Bar

Requirements

  • Extensive experience drafting and negotiating outbound services agreements, sales contracts, and license agreements
  • In-depth experience advising clients on and structuring complex outbound transactions
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skill
  • Ability to use verbal and written language confidently to protect the Companys interests and achieve compromise
  • Proven ability to develop close and collaborative working relationships with internal partners and external customers
  • Ability to use creative and problem-solving approaches to balance legal and business objectives
  • Professional, collaborative, flexible, team-oriented, pro-active, detail oriented, and interested in learning
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively to resolve complex issues
  • Knowledge of EDA, IP core or semiconductor licensing is a plus
  • Experience contracting with the government is a plus
