Our client and its innovative legal team are seeking a Patent Counsel responsible for enhancing the patent portfolio of the company and for counseling the business on patent and related matters.  Reports to the Senior Patent Counsel.  This role will support the management of the company’s patent portfolios, including the management of external law firms responsible for filing and prosecution.  There is a daily close, positive relationship with the company’s technical groups on patent matters.  You will perform patent clearance, develop prior art resources, and perform patent monitoring, in particular, competitive patents.  A key responsibility is to support and counsel marketing and design departments on patents.  Preference for mechanical engineering background and current patent experiences, but flexible if solid mechanical experiences. .  Must be registered and in good standing with at least one State Bar and USPTO registration.  Seeking law firm or in-house experience working with patents, including patent prosecution  Collaborative work environment; relocation budgeted.  Contact Bryce Cornwell for further discussion at:  503-925-6345  Email:   brycecorn-chip.com
