Job Description:

Cohesity is seeking an outstanding lawyer with at least 2 year of legal experience to join our legal team sitting either in
San Jose, CA, or in Dublin, Ireland (UK locations would also be considered).

The successful candidate must:

-be genuinely interested in building a career as a commercial and technology transactions lawyer supporting
hyper-growth tech businesses;
-be eager to learn and take on the challenge of handling a broad range of commercial and contractual legal
matters across many time zones facing a high-paced internationally-focused technology company
-be able to work independently and take ownership and responsibility for completing projects.

This position will have three main areas of focus:

(a) support our rapidly growing sales and channel sales team;
(b) support inbound and outbound technology licensing across ever-expanding business models and use cases and
(c) review, draft and negotiate vendor and partner contracts across the Company. This lawyer’s responsibilities will
also include partnering effectively with deal management, sales operations and finance functions. He or she will also
handle general contract and corporate matters as needed, and work closely with other lawyers in the Cohesity legal
team.

Responsibilities:

? Negotiate and draft a high volume of complex technology, sales and partnering agreements, vendor and
supplier agreements, and a variety of other commercial contracts including confidentiality agreements, license
agreements, data processing agreements, professional services agreements, assignments and amendments
? Develop and implement legal efficiencies to support sales, channel and business development teams and
improve contract processes and operations
? Improve and create contract templates and negotiation playbooks
? Work closely with GTM leadership, sales, deal management and the legal team on strategic initiatives in
support of all business verticals and customer-facing transactions
? Provide proactive strategic advice regarding business and legal issues and risks
 
Required Skills & Experience:

? 2+ years of law firm and/or in-house legal work experience preferably focused on technology transactions
? JD (or international equivalent) or LLM from a recognized law school and admission to practice in the United
States and/or EU
? Experience in technology generally is highly valued but not essential, especially SaaS, cloud computing,
enterprise software and data privacy
? Adept at effective interpersonal interaction in a highly customer-satisfaction focused environment
? Skilled at partnering with sales colleagues in fast-paced customer facing transactions
? Demonstrated competencies as a critical thinker and proactive problem solver, with a willingness to roll up
his/her sleeves to get into the details of complex problems and drive creative solutions
? Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
? Detail-oriented, with outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions and projects
simultaneously under deadline pressure
? Demonstrated exceptional judgment, integrity and ability to think strategically and give practical advice
appropriately weighing legal and business objectives
? A strong team player who can work well with colleagues in all functional groups
