Overview

What will you do?

  • Provide ongoing advice and support to the business principally related to customer and supplier matters, service engagements, SOWs, etc. including the drafting, review, and negotiation of all manner of contracts
  • Provide guidance on a range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters, including, commercial antitrust, anti-bribery/FCPA, and data privacy, with some initial oversight
  • Anticipate and drive solutions for a range of legal and business issues
  • Provide advice regarding customer and other commercial/business disputes
  • Partner with compliance, quality and compliance colleagues to ensure effective prevention, detection and remediation of violations of law, regulations and internal policies. Facilitate review and resolution of customer concerns and complaints
  • Advise and counsel on matters related to marketing initiatives. Knowledge of healthcare related restrictions/requirements a plus
  • Liaise with other relevant functions throughout the business, such as purchasing, accounting, sales and marketing
  • Educate and train employees on their obligations under the company Code of Conduct and legal parameters

How will you get here?

  • Juris Doctorate required, and admission to a state Bar
  • 5-8 years of commercial contracts and business Legal experience. Mix of law firm and inhouse experience a plus.
  • Ability to translate legal theory into applied business success
  • Negotiation abilities and business acumen
  • Customer centric and solutions-oriented approach in supporting both external and internal clients while protecting the best interest of the company
  • Experience developing, driving and implementing legal solutions
  • Ability to deliver strong results with limited resources, under tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Team player capable of participating within cross-functional project teams to meet key milestones under tight timelines and stressful conditions
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Understanding of commercial and financial implications of strategy development process
  • Project and process management capabilities
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail with proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication and presentation styles
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work independently
  • Occasional Travel required
