We are looking for someone who can jump in-and-out of projects across verticals, who is a self-starter who collaborates with all team members and provides best-in-class market research. This is an amazing opportunity to work at a top retail real estate firm based in Washington, DC.
What you will be doing:
Responsible for the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market research data within the company
Work closely with team members across the company to address their research needs, foster relationships and gain agreement with timelines from internal stakeholders
Produce recurring retail market reports tracking retail real estate vacancy, rents, and insights that tell the story of the retail real estate market
Create content for tenant strategy packages and market presentations
Analyze demographic information, sales data, and other metrics to create comprehensive reports
Help produce national expansion roll-out strategies and retail optimization plans through data collection and analysis with the National Advisory Group
Use ArcGIS to create comprehensive maps for clients
Maintain the company s databases such as sale/lease comps, tracking lists, and ESRI databases
Create broker opinions of value on properties to advise clients on purchases and dispositions
Scout for off-market opportunities for clients and cold call business and property owners
Collaborate with research colleagues and brokers on market conditions to inform market reports and white papers that highlight best-in-class market analysis and thought leadership.
Consult with Downtown Business Improvement District and like-minded groups on retail plans
Experience you will need:
2-5 years of related professional work experience
Advanced in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and data visualization
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, proficient in working with and interpreting large quantities of data
An understanding of commercial real estate concepts NPV, Cap Rates, IRR
Knowledge of basic real estate terms, timelines, principles and functions
Experience with SQL and data visualization tools a plus (Microsoft BI, Tableau)
