As an Account Executive, you will:
-Understand and evaluate new developments in the market place that could have a potential impact on the business and search for opportunities to enhance business practices to adapt to market changes.
-Provide recommendations to management on adjusting the business strategy to adapt to changing market conditions.
-Ensure that all policies and procedures are properly observed, all transactions are conducted with authorized personnel, all records and contracts are complete and up to date, and all customer position limits/risk tolerances are observed.
-Monitor the portfolio for potential or imminent defaults and proactively communicate relevant pre-default information to the Owner/Management Agent and mortgagee. When appropriate, recommend corrective actions and assist the Owner/Management agent and mortgagee prepare a corrective plan of action to address the problems.
-Provide information on the multifamily housing portfolio to various deal stakeholders, as needed. Deliver accurate and timely loan and property level information to the various deal stakeholders such as rating agencies, trustees, special servicers, and bondholders.

The Office of Housing provides vital public services through its nationally administered programs. It oversees the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) , the largest mortgage insurer in the world, and regulates important parts of the housing industry. The Office of Housing also helps ensure consumers can access housing counseling and provides affordable rental housing through its Multifamily housing program. The Office of Housing is committed to helping all Americans obtain safe, decent affordable housing.
The Office of Multifamily Housing is responsible for the overall management, development, direction and administration of HUD's Multifamily Housing Programs. HUD's Multifamily programs provide mortgage insurance to HUD-approved lenders to facilitate the construction, substantial rehabilitation, purchase and refinancing of multifamily housing projects. MFH is widely responsible for production , asset management and portfolio oversight , and recapitalization of assisted properties, and field operations. As part of the National Housing Act of 1934, Congress created the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) which later became a part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Office of Housing in 1965.
The official duty station for this position will be in Baltimore, MD. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
To be qualified for this position at the GS-12 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. This experience is defined as:
Specialized experience includes experience with multifamily housing programs. Examples of such experience could include:
– Managing a portfolio of properties; AND
– Applying statutes, regulations, and procedures governing housing programs; AND
– Servicing housing programs, such as federal housing mortgage insurance programs, federal housing assistance programs, or state or local affordable housing programs.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment:
Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
