In this role, the Structural EIT will join the Ports & Maritime group and work with other members of the team to be involved in the structural design, analysis, and delivery of projects ranging from local waterfront projects to international multi-billion dollar port developments. In addition, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable field experience on infrastructure development projects throughout the New York City metropolitan area. 

•Perform structural design calculations for steel, concrete, and timber waterfront structures under the supervision of senior engineers

•Review contract drawings to prepare quantity take-offs and assist in the development of cost estimates

•Review design options, codes, and other documents to assist the Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

•Attend design and client meetings, and interact with clients as his or her level of experience progresses

•Assist with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

•Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required•At least one previous summer design internship on transportation/ports projects is required•At least a 3.0 GPA is required•EIT certificate is preferred•One previous summer internship experience with AutoCAD is preferred
