Honeywell is seeking qualified candidates for an IP Litigation Manager for its Safety & Productivity Solutions (SPS) business group, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will have primary responsibility for managing IP enforcement actions, as well as driving defensive litigations to optimal resolutions, including at the International Trade Commission, in the U.S. district courts, and before both the U.S. Patent Office and non-U.S. tribunals, for multiple business units within the SPS group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Oversee analyses of intellectual property involved in offensive and defensive actions

 Manage outside counsel, ensuring necessary actions are completed efficiently and effectively

 Drive IP enforcement actions and defensive litigations to optimal resolutions

 Educate management and staff regarding intellectual property protection, enforcement, and pending actions

YOU MUST HAVE

 JD degree and an active state bar membership

 3+ years of experience in a major law firm and/or as in-house counsel driving multiple, complex IP litigations to closure

 3+ years of experience in patent prosecution, IP litigation, or IP transactions

WE VALUE

 BS degree in engineering; preferably electrical, mechanical, or computer science

 Registration to practice before the USPTO

 Strong initiative

 Strong negotiation skills with excellent business judgment; keen interest in learning new technologies

 Excellent skills in management and problem-solving

 Ability to work independently and directly with senior business Leadership

 Ability to influence at varying levels of the organization

 Convey information with clarity across diverse global teams

 Consistently make complex, timely decisions
