The successful candidate will perform the full range of duties. Such duties include but are not limited to:
Serves as the NMSS contact and provides vital office support in the areas of correspondence management, records management, information collections, the NMSS office instructions program, and the NMSS administrative assistants training program. Analyzes office-wide information management and administrative processes and leads efforts to develop policies and procedures and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of office programs. Provides advice and recommendations to division and office management in the areas listed above.

In addition to the basic requirements, to qualify for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GG-12) is defined as demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the fields of administrative policy, procedures, practices and standards pertaining to correspondence; coordinating administrative activities; correspondence management, records management, information collections, office instructions, administrative assistants training and the ability to work in a team environment. Candidates must be able to effectively collaborate and deal tactfully, confidentially, and professionally with all levels of personnel.
