This is a contract-to-hire position with a well-established industrial equipment manufacturer located in the northwest suburban area of Chicago. Full employee benefits (including insurance, paid time off, etc.) are available during the initial contract period.
Responsible for accepting orders and quote requests via phone, fax, or mail and processing customer orders for manufactured products and equipment. Provides office support to department including filing, data entry, phone coverage. Responsible for verifying orders for accuracy. Responsibilities are performed with minimum supervision.
Thoroughly edits orders received by checking prices, distributors, discounts, availability, and tax status.
Accurately enters orders into the computer system in a timely manner.
Provides professional inside sales support/customer service to customers including, but not limited to, confirming order status, providing assistance in selecting products, tracing shipped orders, expediting open orders, obtaining credit references, and entering new customers into computer system
Accurately processes and logs repair orders
Appropriately processes incoming calls including responding to general inquiries, taking and forwarding messages, referring call to the appropriate person.
Answers customer’s technical questions and assists with product selection.
Receives, logs, faxes and direct sales quotations to the proper area for implementation. Correctly enters incoming quotation requests and enters edits and formats quotations/proposals. Copies quotations and distributes to personnel as necessary.
Assist customers with complaints and returns, including return authorizations.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requires a high school diploma, excellent oral and written communication skills, typing and data entry skills (45 WPM), and min. 2 years of related experience.
Must be able to compute discounts, interest, commissions, mark-up, selling price ratios, proportions, and percentages.
Must live within 20 miles of Wheeling, IL.
MUST have prior experience working for an industrial equipment manufacturing company
