The Advanced Markets Network (AMN) offers sophisticated life insurance products in the Bank Owned Life Insurance (BOLI), Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI) and Corporate Sponsored markets, designed to support highly compensated executives and professionals.
As a Customer Service Representative dedicated to AMN’s In-force Service function, you will have the exciting opportunity to make an impact on our business and assist our customers while working in an entrepreneurial environment that promotes career growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
Improve relationships with our institutional business servicers and producers
Perform analysis involving sophisticated life insurance products, which may include policy administration, investment reporting and resolving business-sensitive issues
Apply mathematical and financial acumen to complex business case scenarios for performing tax compliance calculations and reporting
Proactively identify risk within the organization and propose solution for mitigation
Process policy transaction requests, such as premium payments, fund transfers and non-financial changes
Create and provide customers and management with ad-hoc reporting upon request
Reconcile daily, high-dollar transaction activity
Represent In-force Service during collaborative project efforts involving Product Management, Actuarial, Sales and Technology
during product, process and technology development projects as needed
Perform calculations to verify policy values (e.g., cash values, 7-pay and guideline premium limits and payment capacity, target and excess premiums, etc.)
Prepare and provide customized premium bills to policy owners
Account reconciliation and journal entries
Work closely with systems development team, detailing business requirements pertaining in-force process
Participate and support project work
Qualifications:
Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
Strong computer skills; proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Strong written, oral and presentation skills
Ability to “think outside the box” and implement creative solutions
Ability to prioritize and multi-task without supervision
Firm understanding of COLI and/or BOLI products is preferred
Experience with COLI and/or BOLI plan designs (e.g., split dollar, deferred compensation, and 162 bonus plans)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years equivalent related experience
Must either have or be willing to acquire Series 6 within 6 months of hire
Professional designation or working toward a designation such as FLMI; obtain Loma 1 and 2 within 12 months of hire
