Overview

The Client Services role within the Flute Authority division at West Music is a selling and customer service focused position. The ideal candidate has a passion for building relationships and a drive to meet sales goals. This position works with all the Flute Authority product lines. The Client Services role is also responsible for establishing and meeting specific sales and associated expense budgets. Other tasks and duties may be assigned from time to time as the demands of the position change.
This position is located in our Coralville, Iowa headquarters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as business needs dictate:
Responsible for client outreach, generating sales to customers, teachers, and Centers of Influence, and support of the Flute Authority sales network by:
Utilizing in-person sales calls and consultations, phone, email, and participating in selling events to identify potential customers
Recommend ideal products for the customer based on knowledge of their needs and available inventory
Participates in regular sales training sessions with Flute Authority dealers
Will qualify potential customers via phone, email and in person; recommend the ideal selection of products, guide sales through completion
Contribute to product development including competitive analysis, market share and product improvement research, solicitation and analysis of customer satisfaction and recommendations
Ensure strict quality control through final play-testing of received inventory and make selections of top headjoint choices for customer trials and orders
Contribute to the Flute Authority product websites and digital communications, including social media
Assist with administration and advancement of Artist Programs
Allocate, track and assist with maintaining accurate inventory
Travel required 10+ trips annually including trade shows, dealer visits, sales training, clinics, and trunk shows
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Flute performance and/or Music Education.
Prior sales experience.
A comfort level with public speaking is required. The Client Services position will routinely be speaking in front of small to large groups of prospective customers to generate sales and leading product training for internal West Music associates.
Regular travel (including International travel) required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to be insured as a driver of West Music vehicles.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
