<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position is located in the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), Office of Facilities Support, Facility Assets Planning Staff. The mission of BEP is to develop and produce United States currency notes, trusted worldwide. The OFS plans and coordinates activities involving facilities design and construction, operations and maintenance, and support services. Please refer to that announcement for details on open period, eligibility, and how to apply.<br /><br />As a Equipment Specialist (SCADA system Manager) you will:<br /><br />-Plan, design, develop, and manage a variety of industrial facilities control application systems, including all operation, repair, and maintenance of associated electrical (analog/digital) and pneumatic controls.<br /><br />-Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems; test and write modifications in multiple languages for control systems software.<br /><br />-Apply thorough understanding of systems software to write or recommend modifications to programs as needed. Test and troubleshoot communication lines associated with various control systems including but not limited to Modbus, BACnet, N-2, FC bus, and SA bus.<br /><br />-Develop, test, and implement new SCADA technologies, ensuring compatibility of components, protocols, control hierarchy, server applications, and database applications; as well as ensuring compatibility with the Bureau of Engraving & Printing Enterprise (BEN).
