<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br /><b>About the Position: </b><br /><br />Serves as Administrative Assistant for the Assistant Chief of Staff for Resource Management, Comptroller. Provides a variety of administrative support services essential to the operation of staff involved in military and civilian personnel, and general management functions.<br /><br />This is a permanent position. Positions filled in the National Capital Region will relocate to Fort Gordon, GA on/about 2020, but no later than 2022.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Make travel arrangements, including reservations, times, places, and escorts high ranking officials to be met.</li> <li>Initiate personnel action requests via automated system.</li> <li>Maintain status of personnel and/or position actions such as performance counseling suspense dates, performance appraisals and evaluations, both military and civilian, and related personnel and administrative files.</li> <li>Create briefings, charts, graphs, and documents using various types of office automation packages.</li> <li>Prepare and/or reads outgoing correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy, conformance with general policy and accuracy of references cited.</li> <li>Make travel arrangements for the Comptroller, including schedules, reservations, itineraries, notification of destinations and coordination among members of the traveling party.</li> <li>Make arrangements for conferences, including space, attendees, time, manpower, transportation, etc.</li> <li>Plan and coordinates arrangements for visits to ARCYBER by military flag officers, civilian dignitaries, Foreign Defense Attaches state and Federal elected and appointed officials.</li> <li>Act as liaison between supervisor and subordinates on own initiative, informing them of supervisors' views on current issues, schedules briefings for supervisor by subordinates, and the like.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – Requires approximately 5% or more TDY (temporary business travel).<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 8 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.</li> <li>Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI).</li> <li>Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).</li> <li>Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.</li> <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.<br /><br /><strong>Specialized Experience</strong>: One year of specialized experience which includes making schedules and travel arrangements for senior staff, assisting in completing personnel actions (such as appraisals, ceremonies, awards, leave, and time-keeping), assisting in updating organizational policy and regulations, writing reports, and responding to verbal and written inquiries from internal and external employees. Graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:<br /><br />One and a half years (i.e., 27 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management or Human Resource Management.
