What You Will Do: This position is a recognized company authority who provides expert and complex legal services related to supplemental health and long term care insurance products. The successful candidate will possess sufficient legal experience to work independently, manage a substantial workload, assist in mentoring other attorneys, and may be asked to participate in committees and advise the company on business matters.

What Success Looks Like:
Draft and/or review policy forms; assist clients with product filings and objections.
Review and approve marketing and advertising materials.
Negotiate, draft and/or review marketing, distribution, administration, TPA, and/or vendor agreements.
Provide advice regarding escalated claims and consumer complaints.
Monitor and advise on changes in laws and regulations, particularly those related to supplemental health, long term care, insurance products, ACA and HIPAA, including advising on company impact and strategy.
Plan, conduct and supervise legal assignments that could have a substantial impact on the conduct of the company’s business.
Provide legal advice on Market Conduct issues.
Legal issues are relatively complex and facts can be uncertain; excellent legal judgment and sufficient experience will be required.
Retain and direct outside counsel.
What You Need:
Law degree and at least one state bar admission.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant legal experience.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
Workload will frequently require the ability to establish priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Collaborative, innovative and forward thinking skills.
Must have strong leadership skills.
