Job Overview: 
Utilizing engineering tools for the production of complex electrical engineering deliverables located in the Tyler, TX office
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Generate engineering studies including but not limited to Hazardous Area Classifications, Power Studies
  • Check drawings before issuing to clients
  • Support development of junior engineers
  • Function as the Electrical Engineering Lead for an assigned project
  • Maintains and promotes a focus on McDermotts end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction.
  • Support of construction at project sites

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10 Years of Industry Experience
  • Microsoft Office  – Word and Excel intermediate level
  • Experience with Include ETAP, SKM Power Tools for Windows
  • Must be able to ensure effective communications among other engineering disciplines
  • Ensure effective management of change
  • Experience with estimating cost and work hours for potential projects
  • Assume responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity and budget control for the electrical portion of complex projects
  • Function as the requisitioning engineer for electrical equipment
