Job Summary

Provide day to day supervision for nuclear security shifts and oversee all security operations to ensure NRC compliance. Plan, implement and administer security programs including contingency, training and physical. Evaluate effectiveness of nuclear station security operations and ensure consistency between stations. Administer operational planning function for nuclear station security staff including coordination with other departments, maintaining records, documenting the results of the operation. Supervises and coordinate day to day activities of station security shifts and conduct backshift assessments to ensure regulatory compliance. Supervise force on force exercises and activities to ensure continual readiness against design basis threat adversary characteristics. Set goals, deadlines and performance standards for security shift, assist in development, tracking and management of section goals and budget. Perform administrative duties to implement nuclear security programs effectively and efficiently. Develop and administer nuclear security programs including security plans and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Coordinate station safeguards information program and 10CFR73.71 (Quarterly Log) requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Minimum 7 yrs experience in Nuclear Security.

• In-depth knowledge of security concepts and operation.

• Job specific knowledge of regulatory requirements and station procedures.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent problem solving skills.

• Excellent leadership skills.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks.

• Good attention to detail.

• Demonstrated understanding of plant security procedures.

• Good understanding of company safety procedures.

Preferred experience as an Nuclear Security Shift Operations Supervisor, or Nuclear Security Shift Supervisor

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associate , Other Education: Criminal Justice
