If selected, you may be offered tentative employment until the background investigation has been fully adjudicated.<br /><br />Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time-in-Grade Requirement, which is 52 weeks of federal service at the next lower grade, (GS-12). <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><strong>Specialized Experience: </strong>Experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position typically in or directly related to staffing and federal human resources, and is equivalent to the work performed at the next lower grade level.<br /><br />GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.<br /><br />The Specialized Experience is defines as experienceproviding expert advisory, consultative, and operational services to hiring managers on a full range of staffing, recruitment, and placement regulations, policies and procedures to include both Merit Promotion and Delegated Examining; <strong>AND</strong> reviewing and commenting on proposed organization regulations, policies and procedures for impact/effect on staffing and placement operations; <strong>AND</strong> analyzing and resolving a full range of complex personnel issues or problems; <strong>AND</strong> assisting employees in resolving benefit related issues or problems..<br /><br />*Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.<br /><br />Specialized experience must meet 52 weeks equivalent to the next lower grade level. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
