Job Summary

This role plans, organizes and performs audits and advisory services that assist Dominion Energy in evaluating the company’s IT systems and the safeguards in place to protect systems and data in order to support delivering an independent, objective assurance and advisory service designed to add value.

Support audit planning and testing to assess the design and effectiveness of IT controls and processes in high risk areas. Execute innovative testing approaches to enhance our capability to detect technical control weaknesses and process improvements. Prepare workpapers, collaborate with other team members, and leverage knowledge gained for the benefit of the team to accomplish audit objectives. Identify and confirm IT audit observations and develop and communicate recommendations to enhance the underlying internal controls. Build strong working relationships with IT and Business personnel and management to understand their goals, processes, risks, and challenges to better position Audit Services to assist.

Perform audit procedures to be used in compliance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, the requirements under the Sarbanes- Oxley Act of 2002 and the related PCAOB Standards as well as any applicable legal requirements or established company policies and procedures. Support work performed in coordination with the Company’s external auditors.

This role will be filled within Dominion Energy – Southeast Energy Group, in the Cayce, South Carolina office. Travel required: approximately 10 – 20% (primarily to other Dominion Energy locations).

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

5+ years of audit or related experience and/or 4+ years of public accounting experience required (A Master’s degree can substitute for one year of experience)

•Experience in IT security/Cybersecurity, IT Auditing, IT Operations, or related field a plus•Proven problem-solving and analytical skills•Broad understanding of business functions, IT processes, systems, IT general controls, applications controls•Effective written and verbal communication skills•Proficient personal computer skills•Can assimilate complex information quickly•Self-motivated and able to work independently•Able to provide, receive and apply constructive feedback•Results oriented both individually and as a team•Working knowledge of evaluating the design effectiveness and operational effectiveness of a system of internal controls is a plus.•Experience with SAP, Unix and/or Linux, and Active Directory is a plus.•Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements is a plus

Strongly prefer Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Six Sigma experience/certification is a plus.
