Overview

General Summary:

Individuals in this position are responsible for collaborating with Architects, Business Architects, strategy consultants, and business partners in the development of capability roadmaps for a given domain. They will take lead in ensuring that initiatives are prioritized and executed in alignment with the long-term business strategy. Principal Business Analysts will typically cover a domain – like a BDH or Value Stream. They are accountable for the tactical delivery of the strategic components through development of business cases and collaboration and oversight of deliverables with agile teams. They will also contribute ideas and suggestions to the strategic roadmap for the company based on the needs and direction of their domain.

Qualifications Required:

8 years in technology within Business Analysis

Strong experience with Agile methodology

Experience with Salesforce workflows, process builder, approval workflows

Experience in solution design, database modeling, and working hand and hand with technical architects.

Experience defining systems strategy, road-map, developing process flow diagrams, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions.

Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales cloud, especially implementation of CPQ programs such as steelbricks, Apttus, BigMachines or any similar cloud based CPQ programs

Qualifications Preferred:

3 years of experience in Salesforce technology

Proficiency in Salesforce Sales cloud, Service cloud, Community cloud, Salesforce Platform (Force.com) and applications available force.com ecosystem.

Experience with Salesforce Standard and Custom objects, fields, field validation rules

Salesforce Integration experience, especially integration principles behind connecting salesforce with legacy applications

Vlocity or any other Insurance platform experience desired

Experience on other CRM applications such as Siebel CRM, Salesforce, SAP CRM or Microsoft Dynamics

Experience Implementing Contract Lifecycle Management, Quote to Contract and Lead to cash business process systems

Desire to learn additional in-demand CPQ/CLM platforms including Apttus or other Cloud-enabled solutions.

Understanding of Rating Engine and Insurance Platform administration platforms

Responsibilities

Responsible for the creation and maintenance of an annual or bi-annual capability roadmap for IDI domain consisting of the highest priority business deliverables

Takes responsibility for Business strategy for IDI domain through analysis and ensures that feature definitions will deliver the capabilities identified roadmap

Ensure the overall roadmap aligns with business goals and objectives

Collaborates with architects to create digital business capabilities that are innovative and highly capable. May be involved in the definition of external partnership engagement/agreements.

Leads discussions with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Leaders of Agile Teams and the corresponding management and teams to ensure alignment of priorities. Helps team translate strategic themes and roadmaps to tangible deliverables which can become backlog items

Assist and mentor business analysts with leading discovery and requirements gathering sessions to gain an understanding of salesforce/Vlocity project and support the implementation work that follows

Serve as a functional lead on Salesforce projects and provide quality assurance (QA) needs executing the roadmap through functional releases including leading the requirements and testing to stakeholder expectations

Map requirements to out-of-box functionality within Salesforce

Responsible for the documentation of formal requirements, use cases, user stories, test plans, test cases, test scripts and test suites which ensure that the software solutions developed and tested are fit for purpose, meet business needs and are operationally sustainable.

Collaborates with Test Engineers to define and articulate capability acceptance criteria

Experience defining systems strategy, road-map, developing process flow diagrams, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions.
