The Role:
Looking for candidates that can support owner team lead projects as well as EPCM contractor lead projects. They must have greenfield process plant or industrial project experience, experience of IChemE or FIDIC type contract templates and be able to operate in an international environment;

The Project Procurement Manager shall take hands-on responsibility for procuring FEED contractor and subsequently an EPCm contractor to deliver an industrial greenfield project. In this capacity the Project Procurement Manager shall also performance manage the FEED, and later EPCm, contractor to ensure procurement activities are carried out carried out in a timely manner and all Purchase Orders or Contracts awarded are compliant to Johnson Matthey standards and procured at best value for the business. This role shall entail, and not be limited to:

(i) Establishing, or optimising, contracting strategy for each project in the investment programme;
(ii) Engaging with the Project Managers, Engineers, Scheduler etc to ensure the Project Procurement Plan is fully mapped out, robust and is up-to-date;
(iii) Map out the procurement process and required stakeholder engagement
(iv) Engaging with Legal to ensure contract documents are readily available and fit for purpose;
(v) Ensuring the procurement activity for all packages in conducted in a competitively bid and transparent manner while in accordance with project delivery requirements;
(vi) Leading procurement of critical & high value packages in a timely manner, negotiating cost savings and mitigating supply risk on the project;
(vii) Leading procurement team – coaching, directing and performance managing to deliver the procurement activities, negotiating cost savings and mitigating supply risk on the project;
(viii) Monitor performance of suppliers and support Project Manager mitigate project risk; and
(ix) Providing regular reporting to both the project team and Group Procurement via Global Category Leader- CAPEX & MRO.
