Overview

As Corporate Counsel, you will play an essential role in establishing and supporting our complex, high-stakes and trust-based partnerships with financial institutions, fintech companies and others, as well as building a global corporate infrastructure for our business. 

Key Initiatives

    • Work closely with Nova Credit’s Business Development team to provide legal and strategic business advice across current and future customer relationships
    • Develop efficient and creative solutions for growing our global entity and team structure
    • Structure, draft and negotiate license agreements, letters of intent, term sheets or other contractual documents to support complex commercial initiatives
    • Lead contract management and enhance trainings, procedures and systems to improve contracting processes  
  • Requirements
    • 5+ years of relevant legal experience in commercial contracting and corporate law; in-house experience, especially at a fintech or high-growth company, preferred
    • Ability to work collaboratively across legal and business functions
    • Self-directed with a knack for creative problem-solving and issue-spotting
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Admitted to CA bar, or if admitted in another state, eligible to register as in-house counsel
    • Passion for enabling financial inclusion
