Responsibilities

The Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs will serve as a legal point of contact and provide legal support for all aspects of global distribution of NBCUniversal’s content. This position will report to the Executive Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs and work closely with senior sales, finance, and marketing executives to structure, negotiate, document and administer license agreements and other key documents for the distribution of NBCU’s film and television content.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Draft and negotiate contracts, including primarily agreements relating to the licensing of film and television content for television and digital/new media customers worldwide across all platforms (including but not limited to free, basic and pay television, SVOD, PPV/VOD, and EST)
     
  • Advise and coordinate with sales executives, marketing, technology experts and administrative personnel to identify and resolve business and legal issues (including issues relating to contract interpretation) and provide ongoing counsel, advice and support
  • Qualifications/Requirements

    Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of corporate/transactional experience at a major law firm, comparable studio, or corporate experience, particularly in the area of content licensing; international experience is a plus.
  • Must have a JD from an accredited law school and be an active member in good standing of the California State Bar
