Software Developer

Prior experience in an EMC Captiva InputAccel enterprise environment is desired. The job responsibilities for this position are as follows:

Develop Imaging components, Web Server components, component interfaces using EMC Captiva/Input ACCEL, Database components (Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) components, Sterling Commerce Connect Direct Interfaces.

Develop and provide all documentation relating to any work performed, and adhere to both internal programming documentation and external documentation standards in the form of documentation booklets and/or online methods of documentation.

Document all changes to the software including any impact the changes will have on operations and/or applications.

Coordinate software and hardware changes and upgrades

Perform all migration of application changes from Development to Test and Test to Production environments in accordance with government policies and procedures.

Support O&M activities including customer support for escalated issues and defect fixes.

Providing technical services through all applicable stages of lifecycle including system improvements and enhancement activities that is not covered as part of normal O&M activities.

Facilitating elicitation and documenting system requirements based on user requirements

Develop and make recommendations to Project Manager for technology changes.

Collaborate with Project Manager to evaluate current design and recommend improvements.

Work with Project Manager to modify Software Design Description (SDD) to incorporate enhancements, as needed.

Plan development, testing, and deployment activities for next enhancements to existing system.

Code software units for all government approved change requests for all application enhancements.

Follow Change Management procedures and assist with process enhancement implementation

Skills: Captiva Input Accel, Java/J2EE framework, JavaScript, JSP, .NET, Hibernate, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services, eXtensible Markup Language (XML) and SOAP, Serena Dimensions, Experience with Neevia and ActivePDF, Messaging framework (JMS, WMQ, MQ Series), messaging qualities of service and message definition modeling, Component Interfaces using COTS APIs, Web-based components (HTML/ASP/JSP), DevOPS – Docker, Ansible, etc., IBM’s WebSphere, Familiarity with open source products like JIRA for issue tracking, Jenkins, BitBucket for builds and SONAR for code analysis.
