<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position is assigned to the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Division: Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR); Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Oceana Naval Air Station. The purpose of this position is to assist management with Category C movie program operations including sales, equipment operation, special events and resale operations. This position is located at the Aero theater.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Opens and secures facility.</li> <li>Ensures auditorium, concession area, and restrooms are clean prior to patrons arriving.</li> <li>Operates a Point of Sale (POS) to sell movie tickets and concession products.</li> <li>Ensures concession area is properly stocked prior to screening.</li> <li>Ensures movie hard drives and keys are delivered in a timely manner.</li> <li>Ingests and programs movie automation utilizing the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) projection equipment according to the current movie schedule.</li> <li>Ensures the scheduled movies are ready to be shown and projection and sound equipment are in good working order prior to the start time of each showing.</li> <li>Performs frequent checks inside the auditorium to ensure sound level and picture quality are properly set.</li> <li>Ensures no food, alcohol or other outside beverages are brought into the theather.</li> <li>Conducts security checks of oversized bags and backpacks of patrons entering the facility.</li> <li>Reports any problems or incidents to the Theater Manager.</li> <li>Oversees the evacuation of the theater in the event of an emergency.</li> <li>Ensures movie schedules and posters are posted in a timely manner.</li> <li>Ensures program operates according to CNIC instructions and CNIC Program standards, guidance, and requirements.</li> <li>Handles unruly patrons and in cases of continued distrubances contacts the security office for further assistance.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Not required<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 02 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Must be willing and able to perform a background check. </li> <li>Must be 18 years of age or older. </li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><strong>Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Ability to handle money accurately.</li> <li>Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs internet research and general personal computer operation.</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.</li> <li>Knowledge of CNIC Cash Handling procedures.</li> <li>Knowledge of CNIC Food Handling procedures.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Education</b><br /><br /><b>Additional information</b><br /><br />We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee's eligibility to work in the United States.<br /><br />Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.<br /><br />For positions requiring travel more than twice per year, selectee may be required to obtain and maintain in good standing a Government-issued Travel Card for official government travel purposes.<br /><br />The Department of the Navy (DON) is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
