Specialized experience for this position includes:<br /> <ul> <li>Conducting patient/resident assessment; <strong>AND</strong></li> <li>Developing and carrying out nursing care plans; <strong>AND</strong></li> <li>Medication administration (oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal, topical, rectal, intravenous, etc.); <strong>AND</strong></li> <li>Communicating patient/resident condition and changes to patient/resident, nursing personnel, physicians, and family members</li> </ul> <br /><strong>OR<br /></strong>You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: <br /><br /><strong>Education: </strong>Successful completion of a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field (e.g., chemistry, biology, microbiology). Degrees from Foreign Nursing Schools: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. <br /><br />SPECIAL NOTE: Long-term care experience and/or interacting with geriatric patients is highly desired.<br /><br /><strong>Licensure: </strong><br /><br /><strong>RN – </strong>For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.<br /><br /><b>Education</b><br /><br /><strong>Education Requirements:</strong><br /><br />A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required.
