Position Summary
With the intention of becoming a Member Services Manager (MSM) in the near future, the Manager in Training learns all aspects of becoming a MSM including, but not limited to the following. Leads, coaches, and develops the Member Services team. This position hires, supports and retains driven individuals focused on building long-term, value-based member relationships that enable achievement of acquisition and retention goals. The position also creates, maintains, and executes the Member Services business plans and adjusts as needed to deliver results at or above company expectations in member acquisition & retention. The Member Services Manager in Training executes all MSM activities in the absence of the Member Services Area Lead (on average, 2 days per week).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and effectively promotes ideas for improving service and profitability to ownership
Responsible for achieving or exceeding monthly and annual department budget and retention goal
Manages the hiring process of new Team Members including recruiting, interviewing, training, and providing performance feedback as needed
Facilitates department meetings and trainings for all member services staff
Spends time scheduled in Member Services Zone
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1+ years of managerial experience
1+ years of customer service experience
1+ years of experience of achieiving budget goals
CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
Preferred Requirements
Bachelors Degree in a related field
Experience leading a team of leaders
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in a high-energy and fast-paced environment
