<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />As an Acquisition Project Management Specialist, you will serve as an acquisition project manager and technical consultant and advisor for a variety of projects involving the procurement of various commodities and professional service solutions..<br /><br />This position is located in the Office of the Regional Commissioner, Federal Acquisition Service; 301 7th street SW, Washington D.C. <br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><strong>We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled from this announcement as needed for other GSA organizations.</strong><br /><br />As an Acquisition Project Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the following duties:<br /> <ul> <li>Independently prepares or assists in finalizing customer statements of work, performance work statements or statement of objectives, evaluates proposals, prepares negotiation objectives and supports negotiations with vendors. Coordinates with Contracting Officer, and assists in preparing acquisition/procurement documentation</li> <li>Develops partnerships and networks with the federal community and industry experts to establish new business opportunities. Extensive coordination to determine the type of contract that is most suitable to meet agency requirements. Makes technical and project management decisions in development of agency requirements/specifications to ensure efficient development and implementation of each task is consistent with terms and conditions</li> <li>Independently conducts meetings with high level officials of Federal agencies to explain services, procedures and processes, rates and billing procedures, and functions provided by the organization. Adept at sales generation as well as establishing government/ contractor/ customer kick-off meetings and progress reviews to establish reporting requirements, task progress, financial management issues and deliverable due dates. Also leads or co-chairs Source Selection Panels or Technical Evaluation Boards along with the contracting officer</li> <li>Independently develops IGCE (Independent Gov't Cost Estimate) modifications to task orders to effect funding adjustments to task orders, close out actions, or other technical and administrative matters. Coordinates with FAS contracting officers to ensure the acquisition strategy is the most appropriate and considered the best utilization of available contract offerings. This includes agency interface, appropriation law, billing procedures, invoice acceptance/rejections, laws governing privacy of data, personal services, security, confidentiality of data and other proprietary information and codes of conduct</li> <li>Ability to meet/deal with high level agency and contractor executives in order to communicate, defend and/or justify extensive, complex recommendations to customers.
