The Provider Services Coordinator (PSC) position is a full-time, non-exempt position and reports to the Provider Services Supervisor. The primary responsibilities of the Provider Services Coordinator (PSC) are to assist in medical provider recruiting, credentialing, and re-credentialing.
Provider Recruiting: Responsible for assisting recruiting staff in onboarding medical providers. The goal is to receive a complete application by providers for consideration of membership. You will contact providers via several methods such as telephone, email, and/or visits to provider offices.
Credentialing and Re-credentialing: Responsible for credentialing providers for admittance into the network and re-credentialing already participating medical providers.
Contracting: Assembles and mails new provider notification packets in accordance with the policy.
Network Management: Processes all activities related to provider relocations, leave of absence, terminations, and resignations.
Client Reporting: Responsible for submitting updated provider network report to clients.
Customer Service: Responsible for handling phone calls and complaints from providers, members, and clients in a timely and professional manner.
Job Qualifications & Requirements:
Strong communication skills
Strong time management skills and personal accountability
Ability to work as part of a team
Strong PC aptitude to include intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel
Medical billing, claims processing knowledge preferred
Must be proficient in data entry and type at least 50 wpm
Pay Range:$15-$17/hr DOE
Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.
