<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position is located in the Department of Compact Operations, Office of Strategic Partnerships (OSP). OSP<b> </b>is recruiting for the 2019 Student Volunteer Intern Program. Interns will have an opportunity to develop in-demand professional skills while supporting the development of MCC's partnering infrastructure (e.g., guidance, toolkits, case studies). <br /><br />Information about MCC's partnership activities can be found at: https: www.mcc.gov/work-with-us/partnerships .<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />As an intern you will have an opportunity to develop in-demand professional skills while supporting the development of MCC's partnering infrastructure (e.g., guidance, toolkits, case studies). In your OSP intern role you will: <ul> <li>support MCC's co-creative discussions with prospective partners;</li> <li>customize PowerPoint presentations for the internal roll-out of MCC's new partnering guidance,;</li> <li>interview senior professionals to identify important lessons from previous experience and write compelling case studies;</li> <li>research potential partner organizations in preparation for meetings and MCC executive briefings;</li> <li>practice honing organizational, actionable research and professional communications skills essential in the international development field. </li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Not required<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 00 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>US Citizenship Required</li> <li>Must be able to successfully complete a background investigation</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br />To be eligible for this Student Volunteer Internship position: <li>You must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, graduate or professional school (go to www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation/ to verify accreditation status). Individuals who are enrolled must be taking at least a half-time academic, vocational, or technical course load leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate.</li> <li>In good academic standing.</li> <li>Must be currently enrolled at least half-time."Half-time" is defined by the school in which the student is enrolled.</li> Desirable: Candidates with curiosity, initiative, strong writing abilities, attention to detail and interviewing skills are encouraged to apply. <br /><br /><b>Education</b><br /><br />This job does not have an education qualification requirement. <br /><br /><b>Additional information</b><br /><br />All internships are NON-PAID. The student is considered a volunteer and is not entitled to compensation or overtime during any portion of this assignment.
