We are seeking a solutions-oriented and mission-driven Solar Customer Support Specialist to join our inspired team in Waterbury, VT.
Overview:
As the Solar Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for answering technical and billing questions, resolving system errors, and providing solutions to any other customer inquiries.
This intensive customer-focused role is equal parts relationship building and problem-solving – with consistent and compassionate communication via phone and email to ensure each customer is getting the most out of their solar system.

What you’ll do as the Solar Customer Support Specialist:
Deliver exceptional customer service:
Respond promptly to inquiries
Solve technical problems through remote troubleshooting
Research production queries
Answer general customer questions
Efficiently manage a queue of technical and non-technical cases, including scheduling on-site service when needed
Communicate with Service Technicians
Uncover the root cause of issues and determine the best solution
Effectively explain technical aspects of solar systems and other renewable energy systems to homeowners
Create and maintain resource materials for customers to self-serve
Keep current with changing solar technologies and related equipment
What’s required of you:
1-3 years of experience providing customer support over the phone
Experience conveying complex information in writing to customers and/or internal departments
Solar Smarts – have knowledge of (or be able to quickly learn) solar equipment, CSA memberships, net metering programs, and utility-specific information.
Familiar with Microsoft Office suite, Google, Salesforce, and data management.
Bachelor’s degree desired
