Permobil is in search of a Customer Service Representative – Tier 1 to join our team in Pasco, WA. Pasco is situated along the Columbia and Snake Rivers in the Tri-Cities area of Washington State (Pasco, Kennewick, Richland), and is one of the fastest growing young metropolitan areas in Washington. Residents enjoy the Tri-Cities’ excellent school systems, non-existent traffic congestion, award-winning wineries and craft distilleries, sunny, warm weather (annual precipitation of less than 7 inches), and affordable cost of living. The diverse culture offers activities for avid outdoor enthusiasts as well as those who enjoy the city life activities such as fine dining, golfing and cultural events.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints.
Receive customer requests by telephone, facsimile, or email; analyze requests, provide information requested or ascertain who best can provide the information, and route the request to the proper person.
Communicate product/customer issues to affected department in a timely manner.
Analyze transactions and correct records.
Provide assistance to customers with technical questions.
Trace status of orders.
Resolve customer questions regarding orders and quotes. Take quotes and/or orders as needed.
Maintain liaison with other departments for order completion.
Write orders, price quotes, and process similar data for customers.
Respond to customer requests via telephone and/or email.
Contact customers to obtain omitted data and clarify orders.
Stay up-to-date on product lines, prices, delivery time, drop ship items, marketing promotional services, and similar data, as required.
Prepare and forward preliminary paperwork to RMA Department for orders with issues.
Follow direction, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments.
Work as a team and maintain professionalism at all levels in the organization.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on time.

Knowledge and Skills Needed
High school diploma or GED.
Proficiency in the English language (written and oral); strong grammar skills.
Ability to speak over the telephone with a pleasant telephone voice/manner.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to operate simple office equipment.
Ability to compose professional correspondence.
Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate work.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and records.
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
Ability to work independently; self-starter.
Strong communication skills.

Working Conditions
Professional office setting. Occasional work in manufacturing plant may be required, including exposure to elements such as noise, dust, cold, heat, and/or odor.
Overtime as assigned.
Physical Demands
Work at a computer for 8+ hours per day.
Use a computer keyboard and enter data for 8+ hours per day; frequent finger and wrist manipulation.

Wear required personal protective equipment as needed.
