Role: Configuration Manager – QNXT

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 6+ months

Rate: $market All Inclusive

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages and coordinates the overall project for the QNXT upgrade as it pertains to the system configuration tasks.

Coordinates the activities of the team to deliver deliverables according to the project schedule

Assess the impact and determine the highest priority risks and issues that will be managed actively

Review and document changes to current system configuration and present such changes to stakeholders and executive committee for approval and sign off.

Assesses and optimizes system designs through review and analysis of user needs, cost effective and efficient operations, customizing systems through system design and administration;

Provides consulting services to business leaders on best practices on configuration issues balancing the system capabilities and business requirements;

Coordinates configuration design sessions and business process alignment sessions;

Validates system configuration and documents issues; updates system configuration as needed;

Implements, maintains, and updates databases, creates, documents, and compiles procedural manuals and any other necessary documentation;

Creates mapping documents system to operational/financial/clinical designation;

Develops testing plans for all changes/upgrades and executes system tests (unit, integration, regression);

Executes system tests (unit, integration, regression); analyzes and troubleshoots configuration issues based on testing results;

Proposes comprehensive options for solutions to complex problems including both technical and business aspects;

Coordinates activities to meet department and customer service goals;

Creates and generates project plans, schedules, reports, and statistics;

May participate in feasibility studies; product evaluations; make recommendations based on user requirements and system analysis;

Develops and conducts user training.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Managed Care operation concepts and principles;

Medi-Caland the Exchange business

Business system applications used in customer departments;

Principles and methods of systems and procedures;

Principles and practices of technical problem solving;

Methods for protecting security and confidentiality of system data;

SQL based query writing;

MS Excel and MS Access with ability to compare large sets of data

Principles and practices of producing project and technical documentation;

Project management at a basic level, including organizing and managing a project schedule.
