The Senior Benefits Analyst position will support the client’s US R&D benefits and payroll initiatives, working out of its US Headquarters location in Santa Clara, CA.

Management of Strategic and Day to Day Benefits / Payroll Administration.
Drive the delivery of benefits for the US collaborating with the 2 other entities in the US.
Evaluation of benefits program, driving for improvements based upon analysis and market understanding, ensuring compliance of programs with local laws.

Overall responsibility for day-to-day administration of benefits to include:

Enrolling/terminating employees in benefits tracking system (ADP); Responding to employee questions and concerns regarding their benefits and life changing events; escalating to Broker when necessary for resolution
Identifying need for policy generation or revision based upon business need
Reconciling monthly invoice, processing timely, ensuring 100% accuracy and disputing overages with carriers
Conduct weekly benefits orientation for new hire on boarding
Wellness Fair and annual flu shot clinics
Quarterly audits of benefits to include overage dependents, voluntary life, waiver credits, etc.
Update benefits documents in ADP library and on Connect (internal intranet).
Identifying audit and review all benefits enrollments and process to ensure accuracy.
Manages the process for leaves of absence and workers compensation cases coaching managers/HR on process and leaves coordinating business needs.
Create/implement Leave of Absence Policy/Process. Work with broker to consider outsourcing LOA administration
Developing compliance calendar, annual check for new forms/new legislation, OSHA posters, OSHA 300 logs, etc. and ensuring all deadlines are met
Compliance related tasks such as ensuring sexual harassment prevention training occurs and are tracked

Overall responsibility for day-to-day administration of payroll to include:

Ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy
Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; stays current with applicable laws and regulations related to payroll.
Serves as liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflect company specific pay policies
Audits employee pay records and reconciles totals by department, location, etc.
Coordinates third party payroll system (ADP) implementations and upgrades
Interprets pay policies for vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, government regulations, and withholding exemptions
Ensures appropriate amount for deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly
May assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filing and related documentation

7-10 years HR experience with demonstrated growth
Strong interpersonal skills. Be able to work with all levels of employees in a professional manner.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, remote meeting tools and learning new software applications; Experience with Workday, ADP a plus.
Stamina when working in high pressure situations and be motivated and driven to deliver results with speed and effectiveness
Have the ability to work with minimal supervision, proactively addressing areas of focus, with a sense of urgency.

Payroll experience a plus.
Experience with 401K administration a plus.

A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Human Resources as a generalist or HR business partner. High tech company experience preferred.
High degree of flexibility, ability to multi-task, work with ambiguity and readily accept change
Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
Solid project management skills with an ability to keep projects on track and deliver results
BA/BS required, prefer BS in Business Administration, HR management or related field.
Knowledge of human resources policies and practices, state and federal employment laws.
