Richmond VA Medical Center is a tertiary referral facility with academic affiliation to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Richmond VA medical center has programs in geriatrics, HPM, dementia care, organ transplant, VAD/MCS, radiation-oncology, polytrauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, movement disorders, rural health, clinical and translational research. These physicians will be involved in direct patient-family care in post-acute care, high risk peri-operative care, geriatrics, hospice & palliative care programs, Geriatrics or HPM fellowship.<br /><br />Preferred Experience:</strong> Fellowship training in Geriatrics or HPM highly desirable. Recent experiences with post-acute care/geriatrics/HPM, Graduate Medical Education and inter-professional team education is desirable. Board eligible candidate should obtain board certification at next available date. Basic boards should be in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.<br /><br /><strong>Leadership:</strong> Highly qualified physician will be considered for leadership role. Academic appointment at VCU will be based on credentials and experience.<br /><br /><strong>Community: Richmond is state capital of Virginia.
