<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for<strong> IMPORTANT </strong>additional information.<br /><br />This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) with duties in the "Professional" work category and at the Senior work level.<br /><br />The organizational location of this position is: JPRA/J2, Ft Belvoir VA.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the JPRA Intelligence Directorate; ensures that intelligence activities are conducted within established objectives and limitations.</li> <li>Advises and represents the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) as a senior subject matter expert on Strategic PR Debriefing and related research, policy development, training, assessment and personnel recovery.</li> <li>Leads a team of four Intelligence Analysts to independently conduct research that contributes to intelligence assessments and reports in support of Combatant Command, DoD, and Interagency intelligence requirements and goals.</li> <li>Leads team to analyze and interpret intelligence data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations frequently using complex sources, fragmentary data and partially complete information.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – You may be expected to travel for this position.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 14 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>U.S. Citizenship Required</li> <li>All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.</li> <li>Must acquire and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance</li> <li>PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations</li> <li>Recruitment incentives may be authorized</li> <li>This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program</li> <li>Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide</li> <li>Position requires initial and periodic drug testing</li> <li>Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays</li> <li>Shift work and emergency overtime may be required</li> <li>Employee must maintain current certifications</li> <li>Disclosure of Political Appointments</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><strong>SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: </strong>Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of experimental theories and new developments in the area of strategic debriefing and serves as subject matter expert for guidance on new developments to problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted methods or makes decisions or recommendations to larger DoD policy significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important policies and programs. These positions require a basic knowledge and understanding of one or more of the Intelligence Community's (IC) disciplines.<br /><br /><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs</strong>): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:<br /> 1. Knowledge of DoD, Personnel Recovery organizations, policies, legislation, and directives to plan and develop relationships and guidance for the application of complex procedures and techniques to diverse situations and varying degrees of management control.<br /> 2. Knowledge of in the Intelligence field and the application of Personnel Recovery reintegration and debriefing; ability to instruct debriefing skills.<br /> 3. Knowledge of pertinent international agreements, guidelines for the release of information or equipment; DOD instructions governing Foreign policy agreements and foreign disclosure.<br /> 4. Knowledge of DoD and multinational partners' Personnel Recovery programs in support of PR Intelligence objectives. Knowledge of Joint Planning and Operations.<br /><br /><strong>PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE</strong>: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
