Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25 .<br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Serves as the Senior Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Analyst focused on supporting global operations.</li> <li>Conducts in-depth intelligence research and analysis in support of current operations using Geospatial Information and Services (GIS), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) and GEOINT principles.</li> <li>Produces GEOINT analytic products in support of intelligence development and operations utilizing a wide array of intelligence research tools, automated information systems, and equipment.</li> <li>Prepares and conducts formal and informal intelligence briefings of intelligence assessments to intelligence officials, decision makers, and other audiences including national level intelligence agencies.</li> <li>Performs quality control and review of GEOINT products.</li> <li>Develops collection requirements in support of the commander's objectives.</li> <li>Conducts resource deconfliction with other agencies in order to maximize resources.</li> <li>Represents the organization at conferences, intelligence exchanges or forums, and other meetings.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />50% or less – You may be expected to travel for this position.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 13 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>The position requires the incumbent to possess, obtain, and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).</li> <li>In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.</li> <li>Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.</li> <li>Two year trial/probationary period may be required.</li> <li>The position may require temporary duty travel up to 35% of the time.</li> <li>Incumbent must be willing to work overtime and irregular hours.</li> <li>Must sign a statement attesting to the understanding of DCIPS provisions.</li> <li>The position is required to complete a deployable physical.</li> <li>May be required to deploy CONUS or OCONUS in support of command requirements or overseas contingency operations.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><strong>Who May Apply:</strong><br /> Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job.
