<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position is part of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Government Publishing Office in Washington , District of Columbia.<br /><br />The Selectee will work shift 1 Monday- Friday and a tour of duty from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.<br /><br />Additional vacancies may be filled through this announcement.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />As a Financial Operations Analyst, your typical work assignments may include the following: <ul> <li>Performs a wide range of administrative, analytical and technical duties connected with commercial vendor payments and agency invoice preparation.</li> <li>Maintains weekly and monthly reports related to receipts and payments.</li> <li>Evaluates contractors' claims for printing and binding, materials and supplies and utilities, determining the propriety of charges and items charged, for the purpose of proper billing</li> <li>Maintains liaison with other sections in matters pertaining to recordkeeping and reconciliation</li> <li>Determines final obligation of GPO and make adjustments to customer agency billings as required.</li> <li>Assists in compiling billing data from various systems applications to complete the billing process.</li> <li>Assists in the resolution of customer agency Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection System (IPAC) charge backs.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> <li>Selectee must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Not required<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 9 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>U.S. Citizenship is Required.</li> <li>Selectee must pass a drug test prior to appointment.</li> <li>Selectee must pass a background check prior to appointment.</li> <li>Males born after 12/03/59 must be registered for Selective Service.</li> <li>Selectee may be required to serve a one year probationary period</li> <li>Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Investigation.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><strong>To qualify for the Financial Operations Analyst, PG -0501-9, you must meet the following requirements: </strong><br /><br />You must possess one year of specialized experience at the PG-7 (or equivalent) level or higher. Specialized experience is experience performing a wide range of administrative, analytical, and technical duties connected with commercial vendor payments and invoice preparation. Specialized experience includes: Evaluating contractor claims for printing and binding products or services; to determine or calculate proper billing by using various financial systems applications to compile billing data and information as well as determining final obligations for accounts.<br /><br />Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
