<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />DON Recent Graduates Program<br /><br />You will serve as a IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) in the Communications and Information System Division of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.<br /><br />The Pathways appointment has promotion potential to the GS-12. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:<br /><br />- Maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all MOC systems to facilitate minimum network outages and problem resolution.<br /> – Participates in the investigation and corrective actions taken to resolve operational problems such as: excessive failures, delays, system performance and/or high operating costs.<br /> – Monitors system performance and applies the appropriate technical expertise to resolve problems.<br /> – Provides technical advice to upper management for MOC systems and support systems to include system capabilities and problem resolution.<br /> – Maintains all system documentation and ensures appropriate engineering artifacts are provided for Network and system certifications.<br /> OR<br /> <strong>SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION GS-09:</strong> Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.<br /><br />Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https: www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/2200/information-technology-it-management-series-2210-alternative-a/ .<br /><br />Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
