The ILM department serves as a liaison between internal and external oversight groups (Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, regulators) and 1st line divisions and focuses on establishing risk-based, foundational enterprise information management capabilities that mature through continuous improvement.<br /><br />The Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance, Senior Analyst will be responsible for leading and assisting with tasks within the Program Management and Structured Data Management Oversight areas of the EO Information Lifecycle Management program.<br /><br />Your work will fall into two categories: Program Management and Structured Data Management Oversight<br /><br />The Program Management function focuses on building new enterprise-level information management capabilities and managing change efforts related to those capability builds. These efforts may be small, medium or large temporary projects with a defined scope, objectives, start and end dates.<br /><br />The Structured Data Management Oversight function is a baseline function that is focused on enabling and overseeing 1st Line divisions' information management functions. Enablement activities include providing guidance and training on minimum data management practices and tools. Oversight includes evaluating division practices, deliverables and reporting of division progress against committed dates. <br /><br />Responsibilities Include:<br /> <ul> <li>Create and maintain ILM workstream and integrated workplans</li> <li>Support weekly, monthly and ad hoc status reporting</li> <li>Support executive presentation development</li> <li>Maintain RAID (Risk, Action, Issue, Dependency) tracking</li> <li>Support demand and resource capacity planning</li> <li>Support vendor oversight and budget management</li> <li>Support development of enterprise information strategy, roadmap, and business cases</li> <li>Support stakeholder communications and presentation development</li> <li>Maintain internal and external Sharepoint sites</li> <li>Support development of proposals and contracts for vendor engagement</li> <li>Assists with the development of organizational guidance for establishing and maintaining division data management capabilities</li> <li>Manage division self-reporting of compliance with action plans and milestone commitments</li> <li>Manage division artifact collection and tracking</li> <li>Conduct initial review of division artifacts against evaluation criteria and document observations by significance</li> <li>Support providing governance feedback to divisions and tracking divisional responses</li> <li>Provide structured data management best practice expertise</li> <li>Support structured data management role and practice training</li> <li>Support Collibra Data Governance Center requirements, testing and training</li> <li>Support impact analysis related to new or changed enterprise structured data management requirements</li> <li>Assist with the development, design and implementation of structured data metrics and dashboard reporting</li> <li>Resolve problems or make recommendations, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes</li> <li>Act as an analytical or procedural "expert" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>College Degree or equivalent experience required</li> <li>Project management, data management, business analysis, systems analysis training or certifications preferred</li> <li>Typically has 5-7 years related experience</li> <li>Experience with data/information lifecycle management and governance, metadata management, information classification, data quality, data usage, privacy and information security</li> <li>Experience with Data Governance tools including but not limited to Informatica, Collibra and Oracle is a plus.</li> <li>Familiarity with conceptual, logical and physical data modeling and data dictionaries and taxonomies</li> <li>Familiarity with data architecture, storage, archiving, lineage and impact analysis</li> <li>Understanding and familiarity with applicable laws and regulations (e.g. SOX, GDPR, Basel II, CCPA) and corporate policies and standards around data management</li> <li>Familiarity with data/information and related technology capability and risk frameworks (e.g. DCAM, DMM, NIST, ISO, FFIEC, COBIT)</li> <li>Mortgage Finance or Financial Services Industry Knowledge a Plus</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Keys to success in this role</strong> <br /> <ul> <li>Ability to quickly gain traction and work with minimal direction in a new domain and organization</li> <li>Ability to build new operating forms out of conceptual direction</li> <li>Understanding of when and how to manage up and involve leadership for awareness and to resolve issues and manage risks</li> <li>Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to establish goals, objectives, and action plans</li> <li>Ability to assist with varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization including visualizations</li> <li>Ability to support and influence organizational change</li> <li>Proactively assists in building and leveraging relationships internally and externally</li> <li>Very strong ability to communicate and present to director level management</li> <li>Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move towards consensus</li> <li>Strong analysis and decision-making abilities</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Top Three Personal Competencies to Possess</strong> <br /> <ul> <li>Partnership: Build trust and strong partnerships through my own and my team's actions.</li> <li>Drive for Execution: Be accountable for strong individual and team performance.</li> <li>Seek and embrace change: Continuously improve work processes rather than accepting the status quo.</li> </ul> <br /><br />Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.
