If you want to make a difference in someone's life every day, consider a position with a team of professionals who are doing just that, making a difference. <br /><br />The CDS works with children ages birth to four with developmental delays and their families as part of the Montgomery County Infants & Toddlers Program (MCITP). The CDS provides family counseling and training to address the social emotional need of children utilizing a home-based family coaching model.<br /><br />The Child Developmental Specialist: <br />1. Assist in scheduling eligibility and family assessments. <br />2. Provides family counseling and training to address the social emotional need of children utilizing a family coaching model. <br />3. Educates families about MCITP services and obtain background information as needed for assessment report. <br />4. Participates in eligibility and family assessments and assist in the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). <br />5. Administers social emotional assessment tools, interpret results and write reports. Conduct clinical observations in homes, child care centers and the community. <br />6. Provides service coordination to families and collaborate with other professionals on multidisciplinary teams. <br />7. Collaborates with community partners such as Child Welfare Services and Early Head Start regarding support for children and families. <br /><br />Qualified candidates will possess: <br /> Master's degree in social work or related field. <br /> Minimum licensure of LGSW or LGPC; LCSW or LCPC preferred.<br />Active BLS CPR card<br /><br />Work Schedule:<br /><br />This is a 32 hour position, either four 8-hour days or five 6.5 hour days.<br /><br />At Adventist HealthCare our job is to care for you.
